The following class details are subject to change without notice upon faculty review and evaluation.

Recommended for: 6th & 7th Graders
This class covers the basics of critical reading and essential vocabulary for middle school classes. Students will learn valuable reading strategies as well as acquire cultural literacy to establish a solid foundation in language-related academic subjects.
Recommended for: 7th & 8th Graders
In this class, students will sharpen their reading skills by reading and analyzing a wide variety of articles from a number of reputable newspapers and magazines. The students will also substantially expand their vocabulary by learning how to use contextual clues to understand word meanings.
Recommended for: 8th & 9th Graders
This class will introduce methods for analyzing literature. Using these tools, students will examine challenging yet highly engaging reading materials and practice developing their own critical viewpoints.
Recommended for: 6th & 7th Graders
This class focuses on training students to write with clarity and precision.
Students will receive helpful tips and suggestions on how to make their writing convey meaning more effectively.
Recommended for: 7th & 8th Graders
This class will introduce the formal essay structure to students.
They will learn the standard essay formats and practice using them to express their ideas and form a coherent narrative.
Recommended for: 8th & 9th Graders
This class will improve students’ writing skills by focusing on the grammatical, mechanical, and stylistic aspects of writing. In this class, students will learn to write effective essays by identifying and correcting their mistakes and errors.
Recommended for: 6th & 7th Graders
